ITVX has added the complete series of Fresh Fields, a British 1980s sitcom that starred Anton Rodgers and Julia McKenzie. It followed the lives of middle aged couple Hester and William Fields.
The ITV sitcom was produced by Thames TV, and aired between 1984 and 1986 for 28 episodes over 4 series. Alongside McKenzie and Rodgers, Fanny Rowe, Ballard Berkeley and Ann Beach also feature. A sequel series, French Fields, aired in 1989, running until 1991. Both shows have previously aired on Drama and Granada Plus.
The addition of Fresh Fields follows recent additions to the ITVX catalogue from ITV’s comedy history, including Never The Twain, Surgical Spirit and George & Mildred. We will update on future additions to ITVX.
