70s Sitcom Rising Damp Coming to That’s TV

That’s TV is to broadcast the vintage sitcom Rising Damp, starring Leonard Rossiter. No specific broadcast details has been given, other than “autumn” on their social media.


What is Rising Damp?

Rising Damp was written by Eric Chappell, made by Yorkshire Television and broadcast on ITV between 1974 and 1978, running for twenty eight episodes over four series. It starred Leonard Rossiter as Rigsby, the miserly and lecherous landlord of a run-down boarding house. The cast included Richard Beckinsale, Frances de la Tour, and Don Warrington.


The Progression of That’s TV

That’s TV has developed quite considerably over the last few years, showing just a couple of classic shows to compiling an entire evening’s schedule. Other shows on the schedule include, Are You Being Served Again, Goodnight Sweetheart, Steptoe and Son and Benidorm.
