Disney has announced their intention to stream the 2015 film A Royal Night Out on their Disney+ platform this May. Part of the “Made in the UK” collection, the film’s release coincides with the coronation of King Charles III.
A Royal Night Out romantic comedy-drama film was directed by Julian Jarrold. The film starred Sarah Gadon and Bel Powley as the young princesses, with an additional cast including Jack Reynor, Rupert Everett and Emily Watson.
Set on the 8th of May 1945, the film follows Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret, as they venture out of Buckingham Palace into the crowds during V.E Day celebrations. What follows is a fictional series of adventures involving the two princesses, and a young airman.
A Royal Night Out is part of the Made in the UK collection and joins other British-based movies including The Queen, Suffragette and The Duchess.
A Royal Night Out will be available to stream on Disney Plus UK from the 5th of May.
