The Absent Minded Professor was first released theatrically in 1961, and starred Fred MacMurray, Nancy Olson, Keenan Wynn and Tommy Kirk; A sequel, Son of Flubber was released in 1963. The remake of the original film, Flubber, was released in 1997 and starred Robin Williams, Marcia Gay Harden and Christopher McDonald.
