The Komedia, along with venues across the UK, have teamed up with a host of wonderful acts to bring us 10 nights of excellent music to raise awareness of the incredible work of music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins.
Nordoff Robbins is the UK’s largest independent music therapy charity in the UK, and they proudly announce the return of their ground-breaking Get Loud campaign.
All on the evening of Wednesday 26th September, the Get Loud Sessions will take place mainly in the south, including All Saints at the Komedia, Brighton; Enter Shikari at the Concorde 2, Brighton; Hot Dub Time Machine at Joiners, Southampton and The Beat at the Engine Room, Southampton. There will also be four London sessions: Everything Everything at the Garage; Nina Nesbitt at Omeara; The Skints at Birthdays and Katie Melua at Borderline. And, taking things a bit further north, The Darkness will appear at Fleece, Bristol; Lisa Stansfield at Matt & Phreds, Manchester and Gilbert O’Sullivan at Cottiers Theatre, Glasgow.
The wide range of performers and styles celebrates the wonderful diversity of Nordoff Robbins, who reach out to anyone and everyone who can be helped by music therapy.
Since the campaign’s inception in 2016, the charity has celebrated the power of music with some of the most influential names in music, raising an incredible £280,000 to date, funding the delivery of music therapy to thousands of vulnerable people across the UK.
Tickets for the individual ‘Get Loud Sessions’ will cost £10 and go on sale via GetLoud.org.uk with all the proceeds going to raise awareness of the incredible work Nordoff Robbins does in their own centres and in their wide-spanning partner organizations.
