Disney has announced their intention to bring ten of their classic animated films back into cinemas in the UK and Ireland. This forms part of their Disney100 celebration.
The films, and their limited screening start dates, are as follows:
- Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs (1937) – From August 4th 2023
- Bambi (1941) – From August 18th 2023
- Cinderella (1950) – From August 25th 2023
- Peter Pan (1953) – From September 1st 2023
- 101 Dalmatians (1961) – From September 8th 2023
- Jungle Book (1967) – From September 15th 2023
- Beauty And The Beast (1991) – From September 22nd 2023
- Toy Story (1995) – From September 29th 2023
- Princess And The Frog (2009) – From October 6th 2023
- Frozen (2013) – From October 13th 2023
The screenings are scheduled to run for a week in select cinemas. Check your local cinema for details.
This news will feel nostalgic to some, who flocked to see some of these classics when they were regularly reissued in cinemas every seven years or so.
