Fabulous Films will release the complete collection of the 1980s animated series Danger Mouse on DVD.
Made by Cosgrove Hall for Thames Television, Danger Mouse was first broadcast on ITV between 1981 and 1992; running for 89 episodes over 10 series. Each episode featured the adventures of Danger Mouse, the world’s greatest secret agent, and his assistant, Penfold. Voices in the series included David Jason and Terry Scott. The memorable theme tune was composed by Mike Harding.
This news follows Fabulous Films’ recent run of classic Thames Television children’s content on DVD. These include Count Duckula, Chorlton and the Wheelies, Jamie and the Magic Torch, and Wind in the Willows. Button Moon is another title due to be released soon.
This release of Danger Mouse is only expected to be issued on DVD. Due to the limitations of the format of the master tapes, a remastered Blu-Ray edition is unlikely. This has been the case with the majority of Cosgrove Hall TV Productions.
