In the latest of Old Time Review’s TV-based polls, we’re asking our audience to choose between two classic fantasy sitcoms from the 1960s; which do you prefer?
‘Bewitched’ ran on ABC for eight seasons from 1964-1972; spanning 254 episodes. Elizabeth Montgomery played Samantha Stephens, a witch who marries an ordinary mortal man. The cast also included Agnes Moorehead as Samantha’s mother Endora, along with Dick York and Dick Sargent, who each played Samantha’s husband Darrin Stephens.
‘I Dream Of Jeannie’ ran on NBC for five seasons from 1965-1970; spanning 139 episodes. It starred Barbara Eden as the eponymous 2,000-year-old genie, alongside Larry Hagman as astronaut Tony Nelson.
