Continuing our series of interviews with unsigned and independent acts, we had the opportunity to submit questions to US based singer songwriter Fran Z. James-Ramirez.
- How would you describe your music?
Christian and Gospel - What inspires you write?
I didn’t know I could write songs until April 28 2013, I wrote my first song that day.. Melodies scriptures & phrases flow out of me at any given place at any given time. Basically, I am no longer bound to an IT career in corporate America anymore. Now, I am free to write and sing about the gospel of Jesus Christ. It must be FREEDOM that inspires me.Now, I can see, feel, and love things that I couldn’t, now that the noise from that life is over. - Have you any upcoming or recent releases?
My debut album, God’s Songs released 5/2017. Promoting this album and securing events is my focus. - Do you gig, and what are they like?
Have mostly performed in choirs at church programs events, university concert, charity and community outreach events. - Have you ever considered coming to the UK to tour?
I would consider it.
