The newest vintage series to join the roster on Talking Pictures TV is Justice, starring Margaret Lockwood.
Justice first aired between 1971 and 1974, following the main character Harriet Peterson (Lockwood), a barrister. The series charted her professional and increasingly complicated personal life in 39 episodes.
Co-starring in Justice were some familiar faces of the small screen of the era, including Anthony Valentine, Philip Stone, Rose Collins, John Bryans and John Stone.
Really enjoying Justice with Margaret Lockwood. Drama at its best
Discovered ‘Justice’ on Talking Pictures completely by chance, and was intrigued to see that it starred THE Margaret Lockwood, whom I had only known from her films in the ’40s and ’50s, acting almost everyone else off the screen, Ahead of its time in placing a divorced woman barrister in an on-off relationship with a surly Scottish doctor (Moody by name, moody by nature) at the centre of the drama. Would love to know where the opening sequence of series 3 was filmed (but I’m guessing in the general vicinity of Temple in London).
