Mr Benn Added to Plex UK

As if by magic, Mr Benn has been added to the ad-supported streaming service Plex.

Mr Benn was created by David McKee, who published several books featuring the character. The TV version first aired on the BBC in 1971, running for just 13 episodes. It was narrated by Ray Brooks. Following the initial broadcast, it was shown on TV for decades afterwards. A new episode, Gladiator, was made in 2005.

The show followed the adventures of Mr Benn, who visits a fancy dress costume shop. Helped by the fez wearing shopkeeper, Mr Benn tries on a different costume. From there, he walks through a door that leads to another world.

Mr Benn has been available to stream on a number of platforms in the last few years. In addition to Plex, it can also be found on ITVX Premium / Britbox; It was previously on Amazon Prime.

What Streaming Does Plex Offer?

Plex offers films and TV to stream for free, supported by advertisements. Series available to stream on the platform include Father Knows Best and The Carol Burnett Show. McKee’s King Rollo, also narrated by Ray Brooks, can be watched on the platform. There are also live channels, including one for Johnny Carson.
