New Classic TV Channel to Launch in May

A classic TV themed channel will launch free to air on Sky in May. The news was shared via several social media accounts on X.

The channel, named Rewind TV, will air a variety of classic television from around the world. According to their website: “Targeted at a 55+ demographic, it will feature rarely-seen, critically-acclaimed serial drama and comedy, as well as iconic shows that rank among the most loved TV shows of all time.”.

A sizzle reel for the channel has been shared on social media, featuring such programs as A Fine Romance, Surgical Spirit, Watching, Monkey, Whose Line is it Anyway and more. More specific details on programming are to be announced.

This channel joins the ever growing lineup of channels that specialise in archive programming. Others include Talking Pictures TV, Gold, Drama and That’s TV.

The channel will launch on Sky on the 23rd of May. It is not yet confirmed if the channel will launch on any other platforms.
