Old Time Trio will return as a weekly podcast with the same host, and a new co-host presenting a new format.
Old Time Review’s main podcast, Old Time Trio, is to make a comeback under a newly revised format. Previously hosted by Jamie Dyer, the original intention was to invite guests to discuss three pieces of vintage media they’d recommend. The show only lasted for one episode, in which Jamie talked to Zach Eastman “When I started asking around for guests, it was quite hard to explain what the podcast did”, explains Jamie. “So my wife Andrea and I came up with a plan, and decided to change the format to focus directly on films and take out the immediate need for guests”.
The new format will see Jamie and his wife Andrea discuss three classic films, one of each on physical media, streaming and broadcast. The podcast will be around thirty minutes long, and will also be transcribed on the website. Jamie says: I’m quite excited about the change as I’ve seen what having a co-host is like thanks to The Streaming Stop, and we’ve got some great films to talk about”. The first episode will be released soon, and will focus on The Sleeping Tiger (1954), The Fast Lady (1962) and An Affair To Remember (1957).
