Rewind TV has announced its intention to air the American police procedural drama Police Woman, starring Angie Dickinson. Although specific broadcast dates have not been revealed, the channel’s social media indicates it will be “coming soon.”
What is Police Woman?
Police Woman originally aired on NBC from 1974 to 1978. Created by Robert L. Collins from an original screenplay by Lincoln C. Hilburn, the show follows Sergeant Pepper Anderson, an undercover officer with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Criminal Conspiracy Unit. It starred Angie Dickinson, with Earl Holliman, Ed Bernard and Charles Dierkop.
The series ran for 91 episodes over 4 seasons. Police Woman was well received, with Dickinson receiving a Golden Globe Award for her performance.

Jamie’s Reaction
After the previous announcement of Married with Children, I anticipated another American production would come to the Rewind TV schedules. However, Police Woman was unexpected.
This is one of those shows that, despite being groundbreaking in its day, hasn’t been seen on UK broadcast television for a while. A huge round of applause to Rewind TV for giving it a home, and possibly exposing it to new generations to discover.
Police Woman is coming soon to Rewind TV. We will update when a confirmed date has been announced.
