Ronnie Corbett Sitcom Sorry! Coming to That’s TV

British linear channel That’s TV have announced they will be airing the classic BBC sitcom, Sorry! The announcement was made via their social media channels. This follows recent airings of other classic TV shows including Sykes and It Ain’t Half Hot Mum on the channel.

Sorry! was created by Ian Davidson and Peter Vincent. It first aired on BBC1 in 1981, intermittently running for 42 episodes over seven series; It ended its run in 1988. The sitcom starred Ronnie Corbett (The Two Ronnies) as Timothy Lumsden. and a supporting cast including Barbara Lott, William Moore, Roy Holder and Marguerite Hardiman among others.

The catchphrase most associated with the series is “Language Timothy”, which is said often by Timothy’s father Sidney (Moore) as a response to misunderstood words or phrases; Many adults of a certain age still continue to use this phrase to this day.

That’s TV is a British TV channel available across the UK on a variety of platforms. The channel can be found on Freeview (65), Sky (171), Freesat (178) and Virgin (150). It is also available on local channels across the country, please see their website for details. In addition, there are individual music channels dedicated to decades including the 60s, 70s and 80s. That’s TV airs a variety of vintage programming, many unseen for years, including Till Death Us Do Part, Benny Hill, It Ain’t Half Hot Mum, The Jerry Springer Show and The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin.
