Pluto TV has recently introduced a dedicated 24-hour channel for the 90s sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch on its ad-supported streaming platform. The dedicated linear stream runs 24 hours a day, and is said to be sticking to the first four seasons.
Following a TV movie, Sabrina the Teenage Witch first aired on ABC in 1996 before moving to The WB, where it continued until 2003. It ran for 163 episodes over 7 seasons. In the UK, the show has aired on a number of channels including ITV, Nickelodeon, The Vault, 4Music and Pop Girl. It has previously been available to stream on-demand on Amazon Prime.
Loosely based on an Archie Comics character, the series starred Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina Spellman, a teenage girl who discovers on her sixteenth birthday that she is a witch. The show combined supernatural elements with typical teenage and family issues. In addition to Joan Hart, Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick played Sabrina’s aunts, while Nick Bakay voiced the character of Salem, Sabrina’s talking cat.
The rest of the cast changed over the course of the shows run, but early seasons feature performers including Martin Mull, Nate Richert, Jenna Leigh Green, Michelle Beaudoin and Lindsay Sloane.
Pluto TV has expanded its selection in July, with the addition of several linear channels devoted to classic TV shows. Dedicated channels include Dynasty, The Love Boat, JAG, and Melrose Place. The Classic TV channel has also had an overhaul, with Happy Days, Mork & Mindy, and The Brady Bunch added to the schedule.
