Talking Pictures TV to broadcast The Secret of Seagull Island

1

Talking Pictures TV have announced they will broadcast The Secret of Seagull Island.

Starring Prunella Ransom, Jeremy Brett, Pamela Salem and Nicky Henson, the thriller was originally a five-part miniseries, which was then edited down into a feature-length offering.

The Secret of Seagull Island follows Barbara (Prunella Ransom) as she searches for her sister Mary-Ann, who had invited her for a visit to Rome before disappearing. She runs into several confusing clues, dangerous scrapes and creepy characters, before making contact with the wealthy owner of the titular Seagull Island, David Malcolm (Jeremy Brett). It seems that this was where Mary-Ann was last seen.

A suitably chilling and bizarre sequence of events follows in which Barbara is stalked by Malcolm’s disfigured and disturbed son. She overhears conversations between Malcolm and his resident cousin Carol which confuse matters even further.

As the pace ramps up from insidious and chilling to a dramatic revelation, will Barbara finally find out the truth of what happened to her sister?

The Secret of Seagull Island will air on Talking Pictures on Saturday 3rd February and Thursday 8th February 2024 at 10.10pm. Please see their schedule for further information.
