Accounts on social media, including Walt Disney Studios and The Beatles, have teased an upcoming announcement of a project related to the Fab Four and Disney+
The image features four white boxes with the words “at last” at the top and The Beatles and Disney+ logos at the bottom. above the image is text that reads “There will be an answer”. Further details are to be announced soon.
The formation of the boxes appears to mimic the Let It Be album artwork. Coupled with the wording, this could indicate a streaming release of the Michael Lindsay-Hogg-directed documentary Let It Be. The 1970 film has long been unavailable, so this would make sense. The extensive rushes shot for the film were later used in Peter Jackson’s The Beatles: Get Back documentary. At present, this is merely speculation.
Disney has previously collaborated on several Beatles related projects including The Beatles: Get Back, McCartney 3,2,1 and The Beatles: Now and Then. Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney also appeared in the Abbey Road documentary If These Walls Could Sing.
We will report when new details are announced.
