Fabulous Films has announced an upcoming Blu-ray release of the complete 26 episodes of BBC children’s show The Clangers. The series has been newly restored, with all 26 episodes included in high definition.
The Clangers first aired on BBC television in 1969. Produced and directed by Oliver Postgate with Peter Firmin’s art and models, the series followed beings from outer space. The community included the well-loved pink Clangers, as well as such favourites as Soup Dragon, Baby Soup Dragon, Froglets and the Iron Chicken.
