Eureka Entertainment have announced their upcoming release of 1962 biographical masterpiece The Miracle Worker. The high-definition transfer is coming to Blu-ray as part of the Eureka Classics range.
The Miracle Worker concerns young Helen (Patty Duke), left deaf and blind by a childhood illness, and the woman who could reconnect her with the world, Anne Sullivan (Anne Bancroft). Both lead actresses won Oscars for their brilliant and moving performances.
Before making this film, director Arthur Penn, Bancroft and Duke had brought the story to the Broadway stage together. Now Eureka Entertainment are bringing the film to UK Blu-ray for the first time. Special features include the 1080p digital transfer, English subtitles, theatrical trailer and a special collector’s booklet.
